Mag'har Orc

Horde
Introduction Mag'har Orc
For untold generations, the orc clans of Draenor battled one another in endless war. But when Gul'dan offered them the blood of his demonic masters, the disparate tribes of Mag'har—the orcish word for "uncorrupted"—refused the dark bargain and banded together to drive out the Burning Legion. In the aftermath of the fall of Hellfire Citadel, the Mag'har pledged to one day repay Azeroth's heroes for aiding their cause. As war against the Alliance intensifies, the Horde must call upon the might of the Mag'har to seize victory.
History

The history of the Mag’har is rooted in an alternate past. In this timeline, the bronze dragon Kairozdormu helped Garrosh Hellscream travel back to a Draenor that had not yet fallen to the Burning Legion. Garrosh stopped his father, Grommash Hellscream, from drinking the demon blood and instead united the independent orc clans into a technologically advanced, industrial army known as the Iron Horde.

After the Iron Horde was defeated by surface champions and the Legion was thrown down, the orcs lived in peace on Draenor for decades, uniting under the name Mag'har. However, the native Draenei—driven by a fanatical devotion to the Light—began a violent, forceful crusade to convert or purge the orcs. Facing total extinction, the Mag’har used a shard of the Vision of Time to escape their dying world, crossing over into Azeroth to pledge their undying loyalty to the Horde that saved them.

Starting Zone: Alternate Draenor / Orgrimmar
For generations, the orc clans of Draenor warred against one another in an endless cycle of bloodshed. But when Grommash Hellscream refused the gift of the pit lord Mannoroth, he forged the orcs into the unyielding Iron Horde. Now united as the Mag'har, these fierce warriors stand ready to cross the boundaries of time and space to repay their debt to the Horde.
Home City: Grm'gar

Named in honor of the great Hellscream bloodline, Grom'gar is the fortified capital of the Mag'har Orcs on Azeroth. Nestled safely within the rugged, sun-baked canyons of Durotar, this imposing fortress combines the raw, black-iron technology of the Iron Horde with traditional, spike-laden orcish longhouses, standing as a defiant monument to an uncorrupted lineage.

Because the alternate Draenor is completely sealed off to them, Grom'gar serves as their primary military outpost and cultural sanctuary on Azeroth. The base functions as a direct command center housing their clan banners, heavy siege engines, and active portal networks that hook directly into the main upper tiers of Orgrimmar.

Leader: Overlord Geya'rah

Mag’har society is organized under a strict military hierarchy governed by a supreme Overlord, who rules with the counsel of the remaining chieftains of the historic clans:

  • Overlord Geya'rah: The undisputed military and political leader of the Mag’har. In this alternate timeline, she is the biological daughter of Durotan and Draka (making her the alternate-universe sister of Thrall). Raised as a fierce warrior under the teachings of Grommash Hellscream, Geya'rah is an aggressive, intensely loyal patriot. She harbors a deep, personal hatred for religious zealotry due to her war with the Lightbound, making her a fiercely protective commander for the Horde.
  • Grommash Hellscream (Former Warchief): The legendary founder of the Iron Horde and the ultimate savior of the Mag'har. He spent decades ruling Draenor in peace after the Legion's fall. When the Lightbound crusade began consuming the planet, an aging Grommash chose to stay behind on Draenor, holding the line in a final, suicidal stand against High Exarch Yrel so that Geya'rah and his people could escape to Azeroth.
