The Azuremyst Isles are a group of islands located off the coast of northern Kalimdor. Little was known about this island chain until the arrival of the Draenei on Azeroth not long before the re-opening of the Dark Portal.

Some areas have a red tinge to the air and plant life. Many creatures of the isles have mutated from the radiation, and some even have become hostile and grown unnatural in size. The Draenei are working to halt and, if possible, reverse these mutations as soon as possible to restore the natural health and beauty of the isles.

The isles, like much of Kalimdor, are dotted with Kaldorei ruins.
