These strands appear to be muscle tissue. They have a faint and inexplicable glow when held to a light, as if some form of unnatural energy binds them together. They seem to react to those who come into contact with it, writhing and twisting as if still connected to the beast from which it was harvested.

Such living tissue is not unheard of in the Shadowlands. JOBE scientists have noted that a form of psychic energy found in pockets throughout the Shadowlands seems to flow through all organic compounds in the area, as if an entity or energy of some kind was animating them. This phenomenon has not yet been explained, but several prominent meta-physicists have claimed that they have been able to feel the presence of a coherent consciousness when examining these samples.
