A cutlass is crafted for rapid swing and cutting action. Its arched design gives the slash a longer cutting edge and digs deeper into the intended target. Unfortunately the original cutlass had a lightweight blade, compared to the weight of the handle. The improved version repairs that, giving the weapon a much greater impact.
