The tongue of the Spinetooth contains a viscous mucus that can be poisonous to certain lesser species. It is best handled very carefully.

The Yuttos though use it in many of their medicinal remedies albeit in very small doses. An ancient Yuttos proverb says 'The mucus of the Spinetooth makes for good pazput when the grass is long'.
