The production of the Patriot was started by the 'Fox Civilization', a minor clan. They set up a secret shop in Borealis, but naturally it wasn't possible to keep secret for long when they were financed by 'Freedom For All'. OT Special Forces captured the clan leaders and the rest of the clan dissolved. However, the plans for the weapon were 'found' and patented by the Borealis City Council. They did not have the money to keep up production, and therefore the weapon is mostly found as a building kit. The complicated base mechanism of this gun actually melts the bullet - the Patriot shoots liquid metal.
