The Merchant Squib is another piercer evolved from ritual weapons used on Turtle, a moon circling around the gas-planet LU-109-Borne in the Marker system. The original model for this weapon is called a 'Tengarin-Olamidan', a name that directly translated means something like 'Protection of tools'. 'Tool' is a synonym for the merchant middle classes on Turtle.
