This was a secret MTI project, until the plans for the gun were stolen. The technology is an improvement of the congealing gel glazing teqhnique used by Zastaba on the M0-2 AR. The unknown thieves succeded in applying the technology on modified Ingram Blasters, and soon the black market were filled with these guns. MTI applied to the thieves through official media with an offer of shared profit and a special licence for the thieves to continue their production. No one really knows whether the thieves accepted or not, but fact is that you won't find the Grey in the official MTI catalogue.
