The Rider Squib is another piercer evolved from ritual weapons used on Turtle, a moon circling around the gas-planet LU-109-Borne in the Marker system. The original model for this weapon is called a 'Molia-Olamidi', a name that directly translated means something like 'Protection of the riders'. 'Rider' is a synonym for the ruling classes on Turtle. The title 'Rider' should not be confused with 'Knight', as the ruling classes are not warriors, but bureaucrats.
