This ledger (which was quite well-used, from the looks of it) obviously belonged to someone, illustrated by the many filled pages within. However, interestingly enough, the words within are written in some form of code - A code that your control units are having a very, very difficult time decyphering. A lone name is monogrammed at the bottom of the front cover - "Korbensen".
